This 100-sqm veranda was previously an underutilized space, rarely occupied by the house’s inhabitants. Our intention was to transform it into a true extension of the existing home—one that could be comfortably used throughout the day and across seasons.
To address the strong northern winds, custom windbreakers were introduced, creating a sheltered and intimate environment. Shade was provided through a pergola constructed from chestnut wood and bamboo, filtering light naturally while enhancing the veranda’s material warmth.
An outdoor kitchen, dining table, and lounge sofa were carefully positioned to frame and fully embrace the expansive view, redefining the veranda as a lived-in space for gathering, cooking, and relaxation
